Bill and I were in Arizona September 15th-22nd. While I had to work hard to
see birds, I did manage to get 16 lifers while there. We visited the Patagonia
area, Ramsey, Miller & Ash Canyons, as well as Portal & surrounding area.
While birding was not the only focus of the trip, we did manage to see 120
species. Birds were few and far between. When we did happen upon them, they
were high, quiet and fast. Patagonia State Park and the road to Rustler Park
were the birdiest. Cave Creek Canyon and Ramsey Nature Preserve were nearly
silent and had very little activity. (I did get to see the Elegant Trogon, but
Bill missed it!) Feeders provided the most productive way to see birds. (Last
year, on a nature tour limited to the Portal, AZ area, I seen 116 species.)
I would like assistance with a few flycatchers and a couple of sparrows. (A
couple of the flycatchers are from last year.) The link to my Arizona Birds
pictures is here: http://www.pbase.com/kristybaker/arizona_birds
The first thirteen photos are the ones I need assistance with. Please feel
free to check the others out to see if I identified the rest correctly.
