Old Hickory Dam area
Davidson Co., TN
2019 Jan. 3
This damp dreary Thursday I stopped by the Old Hickory Dam area and
walked the woods. At the edge of the high tension power line cut
along the Willow Swamp Trail I spotted a WHITE-EYED VIREO, perhaps a
count week bird for the Nashville New Year's day CBC. While
I was trying to get better looks at it, I also found an ORANGE-
CROWNED WARBLER in the same bush. At least one of the latter
species has been resident in these woods for the past several years.
