Spent a few hours mid-morning in Pickett Co, all in a limited area including
Oak Grove Road, Taylor Ford Road, Taylor Cemetery, Thompkins Point, and Cherry
Tree Lane. Taylor Ford Road was good, especially as you approach the water.
Had a total of 44 species, most of what you would expect. Two surprises
included acadian flycatcher and prothonotary warbler. Nice to increase my
county total for this little birded county by 28.
