6:30am Dickson County,

Spencer Coffey and I saw the piping plover this morning. It is at the
westernmost point of the pond. We saw Marjorie there with a friend this morning
as well.

Subject: [TN-Bird] Piping plover, Dickson

Marjorie Dunham just asked for ID of a plover on the TN Birding Facebook page
and it's a piping plover! Bird is present right now at Buckner lake off hwy 70
in Dickson. I assume the town of Dickson is in Dickson county but I'm not sure
and don't have time to look up more details right now. There's a park and a
playground and it is at the edge of the lake where the water has gone down with
some other sandpipers and killdeer. Passing along the info I currently have.

This is the 4th reported piping plover in TN this fall!
