My husband just called and said ~30 min ago hundreds of Killdeer and
American Pipits were in afield prior where Cannon Rd Meets Haley Rd. These
are in wonderful flat fields along the Garrison Fork prior it merging with
the Duck River.
Please be respectful of our friend's field and not tarry long, etc. . Also,
be cautious as that straight road after a curve encourages some speed
demons.
This field has been very rewarding this year...moreso than others.
It used to have grasshopper sparrow singing on the adjacentittle hill/
ridge but haven't heard it in years. We had flocks if bobolinks this
spring. Uncertain if wet fields early spring allowed this or what, but it
was wonderful.
