Saturday morning 03 March 2012 after Friday nights storms and tornados Jen and
I checked the Bald Eagle's nest on Parksville Lake. An adult Bald was on the
nest and the mate was seen circling overhead.

100+ Sandhill Cranes were feeding on the mud flats on the upper end of the
lake. This is the highest number of Sandhills i have seen in Polk County.

The Great Horned Owl's nest also weathered the storm with no damage. An adult
Great Horned was on the nest with just the head visable.

Monday 05 March 2012 we had a Ross's Goose on a small lake/pond off of Highway
314. This is the first record of this species I have from Polk County.
