J. Percy Priest Lake, Rutherford Co. TN
Jan Shaw and I checked the east end of Priest Lake this morning, mainly to
see if the pelicans had returned. We found aprox. 20 Am. White Pelicans in
the Spring Creek section of Fall Creek Rec Area. We checked again from the
Lamar Hill side for a possible closer look and they were no longer there.
Otherwise the lake was pretty quiet, with a smattering of the usual and
expected species present. We also checked at Couchville Lake and found 12
Hooded Mergansers.
