I went out for an easy bike ride this morning on the greenways in Smyrna. I had one singing Prothonotary Warbler in the flooded forest at Sharps Springs Rec Area. I also had 30+ gnatcatchers along the route. I did a 75 mile bike ride yesterday and had hopes of counting gnatcatchers or something. I lost track after 15 miles or so because I needed to focus on riding more, plus the wind was blowing hard which made hearing birds other than the numerous Field and Chipping sparrows difficult. I had a female Northern Harrier over a large winter wheat field in Williamson county, which was pretty cool as I rarely see them in the area. Only 1 Prairie Warbler, 2 N. Parulas, and one White-eyed Vireo. I had a road kill adult Coopers Hawk near 840 on Cox Rd also in Williamson Co. (it wasn't banded, I checked).
