Hello TN Bird listers...
We have had the pleasure of hosting nesting Prothonotary Warblers is our yard
this spring. On May 24th we first noticed the male and female carrying nesting
materials to our old home-made Bluebird box. On June 12th 3 babies
hatched...and yesterday they fledged. Because the box was only 6 feet off the
corner of our front porch we had the unique opportunity to observe the whole
process daily and I was thrilled and honored to be able to actually watch the 3
hatchlings fledge yesterday. It is truly amazing to watch these little birds
go from egg to flight in 11 days!! I hope you enjoy this small snippet.
