I birded middle Tennessee (mostly Coffee, Rutherford, and Wilson Co) over =
the last 3 days (Tues-Thurs) with group of birders in another TWRA bird ID =
refresher course. =20

We refound the Bewick's Wren in Murfreesboro, but it was heard only. It =
also didn't sing frequently.

We relocated 2 pairs of scissor-tailed flycatchers in the 'boro, not =
trying the pair on Florence Rd. We saw one of the Lark Sparrows that are =
living by the Nashville superspeedway. The male was silent, but we saw =
one bird walking around in the road. =20

We did find several Song Sparrows in Coffee Co and one in Murfreesboro. =
Always a summer treat around here.
Not many other surprises, just the usual suspects and no birds that we =
knew for sure were migrants.

Some other notes and picts posted:

On May 21, I took some shots of very cooperative Henslow's Sparrows at =
Bark Camp Barrens WMA starting here:

Picts of Lark Sparrows at the speedway from 21 May start here:

I found a loggerhead shrike family in the 'boro on Lytle Creek Rd (up the =
access rd where I had 2 pair of scissor-taileds a couple weeks ago) on 21 =
May and got a couple shots, start here:
