Seven members of the Herndon Chapter of TOS visited
Dutch & Rankin Bottoms on Upper Douglas Lake in Cocke Co., TN.

Highlights:
Blue-wg. Teal -  50
Pied-billed Grebe - 1
D-c. Cormorant - 150+
Great Egret - 150+
Little Blue Heron - 1, imm.
Osprey - 1
Merlin - 1 - - this is probably why shorebirds were scattered & skittish.
Semipalmated Plover - 6+
Spotted Sandpiper - 3
Lsr. Yellowlegs - 15
Sanderling - 8
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 40+
Western Sandpiper - 5+
Least Sandpiper - 40+
peep sp. - 40+
Pectoral Sandpiper - 40+
Stilt Sandpiper - 3
Buff-br. Sandpiper - 5
Ring-billed Gull - 115  - - mostly Dutch Bottoms
Forster's Tern - 3
