Tn-birders, There were a few shorebirds at Rankin Bottoms (Cocke County) this afternoon. The birds were mostly at the end of the road you drive in on, at the edge of the last pond on the left. It wasn't a treasure trove of birds, but a nice assortment for October in East Tn. Least Sandpiper-2 Pectoral Sandpiper-4 Lesser Yellowlegs-8 Greater Yellowlegs-1 Stilt Sandpiper-1 Solitary Sandpiper-1 Wilson's Snipe-1 also: about 300 American Crows and lots of Palm Warblers.
