Sierra Club outing participants on Saturday afternoon reported a juvenile American White Pelican- https://picasaweb.google.com/112945846914235073614/RankinBottoms091413 one was still present after sunset tonight. They also reported seeing 3 American Avocets. We didn't find any today. Most of the shorebirds we saw were in locations not visible from shore. Partial list: American White Pelican (juv.)
