Rankin area, Cocke county, 9/15/13, 5-8pm, by canoe with Bill Allen
Douglas Reservoir elevation: 987.1 ft - mudflats just starting to come into
view at the RR crossing/WMA entrance.
Sierra Club outing participants on Saturday afternoon reported a juvenile
American White Pelican-

one was still present after sunset tonight. They also reported seeing 3
American Avocets. We didn't find any today. Most of the shorebirds we saw
were in locations not visible from shore.
