Duck/Teal season starts tomorrow, 9/13, and ends on the 17th. Goose season
started 9/1, and ends 9/15.
I've been out there many times during both seasons. What few hunters I've seen
were between shore and the mudflats, or in the Gate Pond area.
After a couple of shotgun blasts, all waterfowl left the area, while shorebirds
& waders might get stirred up but tend to return.
I just spoke by phone to David Kirschke, at Rankin. He had not seen the Red
Phalarope.
