[TN-Bird] Rankin/Ten Islands

Cocke county, 10/10, 5:30-7:30pm, by canoe
Douglas Reservoir elevation: 976.8 ft.  - not much lake left in Rankin Bottoms, 
better waterbird habitat developing just downriver at Ten Islands.  Some 
limited onshore viewing from Leadvale boat ramp and Leadvale Rd.

Blue-winged Teal (14)
Double-crested Cormorant (400+) - flying across to the Nolichucky River
Great Egret (60) -  foraging, then left for Ten Islands
Black-crowned Night-heron (6)
Soliatary Sandpiper (3)
Semipalmated Sandpiper (3)
 Ten Islands:
Am. White Pelican (1 juv. present on Douglas since 9/14)
Great Egret (110) 
B-C Night Heron (5)
Least Sandpiper (17)
