Since my last online report on April 21, I have identified a few more
first-of-the-year bird species. On Friday, April 24, I noted a male
Chestnut-sided Warbler at the Enterprise South Nature Park in Hamilton County.
On that same location and date, a Red-eyed Vireo was observed. On April 25 at
my property in Birchwood (Hamilton County), 3 Indigo Buntings were seen. Later
in the day a Yellow-breasted Chat was heard at the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge
alongside Blythe Ferry Lane in Meigs County at Birchwood. Today, I heard a
Yellow-billed Cuckoo at my Birchwood property.
