Not much to add to both Dick's and Mike's posts. We did however have 2 Adult
Bald Eagles on Riverport Rd at 11:00am and as we entered the Pits they were
still circling over the Pits slowly heading South-Southwest. Until out of site.
At about 1:40 up on TVA we spotted a Flock of DC Cormorants heading South and
above them was a single Adult Bald Eagle coming in from the NEast . Great day
to say the least at both treatment plants. Temps ranged from 60-66 degrees with
overcast skies during the 5 hours of birding. Nice to see Mike again down here
at the pits. Great to see young birders Chloe and Nolan also searching out the
shorebirds. Many thanks to Dick Preston for giving me a shout out about the
Rednot. Got some great closeups.
Will post my complete Ensley Bottoms area Sightings report tomorrow once ebird
them. And will post picts also.
