Hey Birders,
We are just under 2 months from the 5th running of the Reelfoot to Memphis Run.
This all day birding adventure starts in Tiptonville, Lake County TN and ends
at “the Pits “ in Memphis, TN. If you have ever wanted to do Mississippi flyway
birding, join us on Saturday August 31, 2019. It’s a great day of birders
getting to bird. This is a free event. This is a rain or shine event. Everyone
is welcome. All you need is your birding equipment, reliable transportation,
plenty of food a drink and the desire to spend the day from 7:00 am to sundown
birding. We always have a great time and usually pick up a bird or two we
haven’t seen in previous years. Last year we had birders from 4 or 5 states of
all levels of birding. Ages ran from 10 or eleven to who knows. Not much
walking. Bird stops are usually park and view. Might have to walk 100 feet. If
you have bad knees or other difficulties we will be glad to make sure we get
you close. Some stops depend on how wet its been (Island 13 Road). Hope to see
everyone August 31 in Titptonville, TN. I will post a more detailed itinerary
