Roan Mtn, Carter Co., TN 

On a hike from Carver's Gap across the grassy balds, going just past Jane Bald.

Highlights:
Mourning Dove - 1   (unusual at high elevation)
Alder Flycatcher - 5 singing males
Com. Raven - 4
Red-br. Nuthatch - 4
Veery - 4
Hermit Thrush - 1
Brown Thrasher - 2   (unusual at high elevation)
Cedar Waxwing - 6
Com. Yellowthroat - 6
Chestnut-sd. Warbler - 5
Canada Warbler - 2
Vesper Sparrow - 6   
Indigo Bunting - 3   (unusual at high elevation)
E. Meadowlark - 1   (unusual at high elevation)
Pine Siskin  - 2

cool temps, blooming Gray's Lillies, & spectacular scenery were just a bonus.
