Rick, I read with interest your report of 6-2-14 about the Magnolia and Yellow-rumped Warblers on Roan Mountain. Have also noticed other reports (have heard a few Magnolias myself ) over the last few years of them in upper East Tenn. mtns. All of this reminds me that Arthur Stupka, the first and long-time naturalist in the Great Smoky Mtns. National Park, predicted to me about fifty years ago that he thought both of these warblers might eventually nest in the GSMNP.
