[TN-Bird] Rough-legged Hawk & Laps in Gibson Co.

west of Rutherford, Gibson County
 
Yesterday while driving along Hamp Taylor Rd. west of Rutherford in northern 
Gibson County I spotted an interesting looking hawk flying over the trees and 
gliding into the brisk north wind. I pulled over and got my binoculars on it 
and it was a beautiful immature light-morph Rough-legged Hawk. I watched the 
bird for a couple of minutes until it disappeared over a treeline to the west.
 
I also had a small flock of Lapland Longspurs just to the south on the same 
road.
