We just had our first Ruby-throated Hummingbird – a mature male – on the feeder
at 6:40 this evening. This is the normal date for us to see one and it was a
welcome sight. We had a Pine Warbler on the 11th and two Blue-gray
Gnatcatchers on the 29th along with a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Two Brown
Thrashers arrived on the 5th. Spring migration has begun in our yard and it is
our favorite time of the year, until fall migration begins.
