No, not in my yard. But I picked up this post from the Alabama listserv and felt excitement. They are close! Date: Sun, 20 Mar 2011 06:42:01 EDT Albirders Yesterday we had our first TWO adult male Ruby-throated Hummingbirds detected at our feeders. Statistically one of these will be an already banded resident male that will spend the summer chasing girl hummers in our yard. Yellow Jasmine and Red Buckeye are now opening and full of tiny bugs. The buckeyes are 10 feet tall and the blooms are full of nectar. The timing is astonishing! It is the little stuff that happens around us every day that blows my mind! Martha's Salvia Guaranitica garden has and estimated 1000 plus plants that are now 5-6 inches tall. If the AT $#^%* deer don't get 'em, they will be spectacular again this year. I found another Yellow Warbler and a Louisiana Waterthrush near our pond yesterday. What a fun time to be alive and anxiously awaiting daylight. Life is fun filled and fine! Be well guys and bless all.
