This afternoon at around 3:00 pm I had a Reeve (female Ruff) with several other
shorebirds, including 59 Ling-billed Dowitchers at Buckelew Slough in Obion
County. It was near the same size as nearby Pectoral Sandpipers with dark
feathering on the upper breast. I got some distant pictures. An eBird report
was submitted with a photo.
Buckelew Slough is located on Hwy. 157, north of the Reelfoot NWR headquarters
and north of Walnut Log Road but just south of the KY state line.
