I guess this was just a result of being in the right place at the right time. At about 8:30am this morning (Thursday, Dec. 26), nine Sandhill Craneswere observed (in flight) in north Johnson City. These birds were flying westward and flew right across North Roan Street (near the old Walmartbuilding). They were apparently flying from the Boone Lake vicinity. --- Thomas McNeil --- tsmcneil@xxxxxxxxxxxxx[1] --- EarthLink: The #1 provider of the Real Internet. --- Links --- 1 mailto:tsmcneil@xxxxxxxxxxxxx =================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBER===================== The TN-Bird Net requires you to sign your messages with first and last name, city (town) and state abbreviation. ----------------------------------------------------- To post to this mailing list, simply send email to: tn-bird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ----------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, send email to: tn-bird-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject field. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Topographical Maps located at http://topozone.com/find.asp * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the Tennessee Ornithological Society web site at http://www.tnbirds.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * TN-Bird Net Owner: Wallace Coffey, Bristol, TN jwcoffey@xxxxxxxxxx (423) 764-3958 =========================================================
