Hello to all, Started Saturday on Sharps Ridge. Highlights included Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Eastern Phoebe, Red-breasted Nuthatch, a large flock of Cedar Waxwings, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, and a Pine Warbler. The usual resident birds were also present. Visited the Jefferson County side of the Holston River below Cherokee Dam in the afternoon. Highlights included the first Eastern Kingbird of the season, two Eastern Meadowlarks singing, and a large flock of Purple Martins feeding over the area.
