I was able to check a few areas early Saturday morning in the Palmyra community
of Montgomery county for spring migrants. Seemed like most birds were sleeping
in, however I did see or hear most warblers being reported across the state. I
had an excellent view of a Palm Warbler-western and a surprising find of 4
White-crowned Sparrows. However, the bird or birds of the day were 13 Cattle
Egrets on Tarsus Rd near Myers Rd. The first I have personally seen in my neck
of the woods. On another note, this week I also visually confirmed the
suspected Cerulean Warbler(s) I have been hearing around my house this spring!
