After summer vacation, the Memphis chapter is back with a month full of
great birding events starting next week. You are invited to join us!

Wed., Sept. 10 - Field trip to Elmwood Cemetery led by Gaynell Perry. Our
first organized birding trip to this historic cemetery. Meet at 8:00 a.m.
just inside the entrance.

Sat., Sept. 13 - Meeman-Shelby Forest/Shelby County Fall Count. Meet at
Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park visitor center at 7:30 a.m. Dick Preston is
our leader.

Wed., Sept. 17 - Field trip to Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park with Van
Harris and Dick Preston. Meet at the park visitor center at 7:30 a.m.

Wed., Sept. 17 - Chapter meeting at 7 p.m., St. George's Episcopal Church,
2425 S. Germantown Rd., Germantown, TN.  Members will share photos and
stories from recent birding adventures. Light refreshments served.

Wed., Sept. 24 - Field trip to Shelby Farms Park led by Dick Preston and
Van Harris. Meet at 7:30 a.m. at the amphitheatre parking lot on North Pine
Lake Drive.

Sun., Sept. 28 - Field Trip to Ft. Pillow State Historic Park and Lower
Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge. Meet at Alex Haley Rest Area in Henning,
TN  at 7:30 a.m. We will carpool from there.
