Just a quick post, as I've got to head out the door soon to Kentucky. Had
17 species of warbler on Sharp's Ridge this morning - 9 by 7:30am, then a
lull, then the rest by 9:30am. Good looks at Baltimore Orioles,
Yellow-throated Vireo. Indigo Buntings, Gray Catbirds and Rose-breasted
Grosbeaks everywhere. Great Blue Heron flying over as I left.

Warblers:
Tennessee Warbler 2
Nashville Warbler 1 - great look at one singing east of the fire tower
Chestnut-sided Warbler 1 - great look at one behind the orange Verizon
tower
Magnolia Warbler 1 - wow! stunning bird
Cape May Warbler 3
Black-throated Blue Warbler 1 - and maybe another singing down the hill
Yellow-rumped Warbler 13 - at least
Black-throated Green Warbler 9 - twenty years to the day since I saw my
first, also on Sharp's Ridge
Blackburnian Warbler 1
Pine Warbler 2
Palm Warbler 6
Black-and-white Warbler 1
American Redstart 7 - three males in field of view at once; all were
males and past gazebo except a single female
Ovenbird 1
Common Yellowthroat 1
Hooded Warbler 6
Yellow-breasted Chat 1

Should be good up there this week -
Andrew
