They say third time is the charm, & in this case it rings true. After striking out on 2 evening attempts the past 2 weeks at Sharp?s Ridge, last evening from 6- 8 pm was well worth the trip. Birds of note: Pair of male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks (same ones seen Saturday?) 15 Indigo Buntings (perched; @ least 10 more heard & seen flying) 18 Chipping Sparrows Warbler highlights (really good looks): 2 Chestnut-sided, 3 Palm, 2 Black-throated Green Wood Thrush (seen clearly, 2 others heard) Male & Female Scarlet Tanagers (another heard) Red-eyed, White-eyed, Blue-headed & Yellow-throated Vireos Red-breasted Nuthatch Mockingbird that did a dead-ringer Killdeer call Robert & Leigh Loveday Knoxville, TN __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
