Went for a walk this morning with my daughters through phase one of the bottoms
and on the way back to the car, I heard the unmistakable nasal call of a Fish
Crow. I found the bird sitting on top of a metal power pole across from the
trestle, and it was soon joined by a second bird. They were content to just
sit around calling back and forth to each other as we left. Obviously they are
much more common both to the east and west of here; perhaps they are starting
to move into the Nashville area as well...there were two birds at Old Hickory
Lake back in the spring.
