Having some time to spare on a clear warm morning, I walked a favorite hedgerow and pond at Shelby Farms. In a half hour, the following birds were seen:
11 Gadwall
1 Turkey Vulture
1 Red-tailed Hawk
1 Great Blue Heron
6 American Crows
2 Carolina Wren
1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet
1 Mockingbird
1 Palm Warbler
1 Yellow-rumped Warbler
2 Savannah Sparrows
3 Fox Sparrows
4 Song Sparrows
1 Lincoln Sparrow
5 White-crowned Sparrows
Virginia Reynolds
Memphis,
Shelby County, TN
