This morning, while conducting a Breeding Bird Survey route east of Gallatin, I observed a Loggerhead Shrike on a wire at a stop at the corner of Hwy. 25 and Greenfield Lane in Sumner County. Coincidentally, the spot is 3 miles west of where Ken Oeser, and later I, noted seeing one a couple or so years ago. Perhaps it is the same bird or a descendant. Afterwards at my Macon County property I heard 2 Cerulean Warblers singing insistently in 2 wooded coves, and coaxed one down low enough for a good look at it. John Froeschauer Nashville
