Hello,
I came across a site that uses Telegram to quickly "text" a message when a
notable bird is currently being seen. It is done via an app on a smartphone,
but it seems more efficient than logging into Facebook or into an email account
to notify others . I created a group if anyone is interested in using it to
get the message out quickly about a notable bird currently being seen while in
the field. Please note this does not or would not take the place of this
list-serv, Facebook or eBird. It seems that most people use these methods more
often to communicate sightings after the fact.
Again, the goal for this would be to communicate quickly a bird that is
currently being seen that others would likely be interested in seeing as well.
Of course, this will work only if others are interested in joining.
If interested, you will need to download the Telegram app and then use this
link to join:
