[TN-Bird] Sightings Report, 20 April, Ensley Bottoms Area, Memphis, Shelby Co

On returning from Arkansas this afternoon I took the time and visited the
bottoms (5 min detour)
Location:     TN 2 Mem, Maxson Wastewater Lagoons(The Pits)/Earth Complex

Observation date:     4/20/08, 2:10-3:45pm

Notes:     Solitary Sandpipers in good numbers throughout the earth complex.
More Solitaries than any other shorebird. Thats the problem no other
shorebirds except some Yel Legs and Killdeer. Main levees now dry and
passable. Back levee behind pit #5 is still undrivable w/o 4wd needs to be
graded flat. Grass on levees has grown to 2 ft high. No Blk-Necked Stilts to
date yet. All are still up at the (North) Stiles Treatment Plant.

Northern Cardinal     3

Red-winged Blackbird     X
