Storm front began to come through last night and some birds came down. Am Avocet the big bird of the day in full breeding plumage. http://www.pbase.com/jwalko/may14 Close to a hundred Blk-necked Stilts either up on the pits near the nests or happily feeding down below in the once flooded pot hole fields,Savannah Sparrows still fleeing in the high grass along the levee roads. Pot holes loaded with Shore birds feeding, bathing and preening. Dickcissel still singing away in the swaying grass alongside all the RW Blackbirds. What will the storm front bring in tonight to both treatment plants?
