Windy, brisk wind right out of the south and has turned overcast. Water continues to recede, shallow water and mud flats making good feeding grounds for the shore birds. Lots of GWF Geese 2500+, 3-4 doz Snow Geese, a doz or so Blue Geese with the snows. Waterfowl: Mallards, N Shovelers, Pintails, Am Wigeon, GW Teal, 1 male Hooded Merganser, 35 Am Coots in the middle canal. Several N. Harriers keeping the shorebirds honest as they swoop in silently. 2 Kestrels fling around some. LB Dowitchers, Dunlin, Least Sandpipers, Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Killdeer, 1 Black-bellied Plover.
