Late Saturday afternoon jaunt down to the bottoms after the cold front came 
through yesterday. 
Ducks are coming in slowly.

Comments:     Several sloughes holding nice birds this late afternoon. Clear 
sunny skies, 51 degs, slight breeze.

Comments:     drove about the complex. shorebirds mainly in the central ponds 
area.

Black-bellied Whistling-Duck  14     plus 11 juv that are flying. next time 
they get counted.
Greater White-fronted Goose  1     same goose here all summer looks healthy but 
for the wing.
Blue-winged Teal  8     Birds flushed out with the Shovelers.
Northern Shoveler  92     Drive onto the levee and they are all airborne.
Cooper's Hawk  1
Red-tailed Hawk  2
Killdeer  116     Scattered everywhere.

Peregrine Falcon  1     Just as i entered the main levee this bird comes right 
across my bow of the van, every shorebird in the area is up and about until the 
falcon heads for the trees.
