Sorry about my late post, Thanks to Gail King the bird sighting was reported on
Friday.
On late afternoon of Thursday August 2, 2012, approx 430pm, I observed 16 White
Ibis (Immature) in the two most eastern ponds of the RiverPort Rd Slough system
down at Ensley Bottoms. They were feeding with a large mixed flock of waders
(Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Little Blue Herons, Green Herons, Great Blue
herons and a Black-crowned Night Heron) in the sloughes that are rapidly drying
up due to the drought. I alerted Jeff Wilson, who in turn alerted Gail King. By
the the time night fall sent all home a total of 22 of the White Ibis (IM) had
been counted as they began to move from one slough to another. My thanks to
Jeff and and Gail who came down and verified the sighting, and to Gail in being
diligent in trying to count the birds as they finally moved from the first
waterway that I found them in which was blocked by a lot of greenery to the the
second more open larger pond.

Several pictures of the birds can be found at the following phase gallery.
