Greetings from the Charlotte Park are of West Nashville (Davidson County)
just east of the Cleece's Ferry boat ramp.
For most of this midday time, I've had a female ruby throated hummingbird
shopping from my feeder to the cypress vine blossoms to the blooming basil for
sips of sugar. She has just been joined by a young male who is
flight-following
her from one place to the next hoping to sip any remaining nectar she leaves.

They are such a joy to see, and I do not look forward to seeing the time when
they will all leave me for their wintering grounds far to our south. I do
intend to keep my feeder filled for any possible over-wintering birds that
might
come around. Hopefully, I'll get some more of the birds that come around
from the West during the winter.

Enjoy.

Cheers & prayers,

Dee Thompson
Nashville, TN
