Nice bird, Scott! Off the top of my head, I could not tell you the last
time a Snowy Egret was reported in Knox Co. Extra exciting given the time
of year.

Did you find any Fish Crows nesting here?

For those who might wish to look for this bird but are not familiar with
Lyons Island, it is a small island on Ft Loudon Lake off of Lyons Bend.
Public viewing is very limited and best done from a boat a safe distance
from the island -- for the sake of the birds and your boat as the waters
around the island are shallow with lots of submerged hazzards. The
northern end of the island can be viewed from the southeastern corner of
the walking trail at Lakeshore Park where it passes between the softball
fields and the water treatment plant.
