This is of no scientific interest whatever, but I remember seeing a Snowy Owl in Percy or Edwin Warner Park (Nashville) sometime between 1949 and 1953, probably closer to 53,- identified it by its resemblance to pictures on White Owl cigar boxes. It was a most impressive bird sighting, but I had no idea at that time that it might be unusual.
