Saturday Sept 20,2014 Soddy Mountain Hawk Watch Hamilton Co., Tn Things were a bit slower today at the lookout for the Chattanooga TOS field trip. We had an over abundance of blue skies and light winds from the wrong direction. A cold front is on the way, we look for large numbers after the front passes, possibly as soon as Monday or Tuesday next week! We had a total of: 35 Broad-winged Hawks 2 Sharp-shinned Hawks 1 Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Red-tailed Hawk Tomorrow (Sunday Sept 21) Sherry Teas plans to release a Red-shouldered Hawk rehabbed by Alix Parks. The release is scheduled for 2pm. Every one is invited. Our visitors today were Bob Bethel and Bill & Barbara Allen; Roi & Debbie Shannon; Jennifer Rydell; Clay Seneker and the Lamb family, John, Cindy, Patrick and Samuel.
