I am so distressed. I have about 12 bluebird houses up and I am doing battle with House Sparrows, I have a trap and have trapped about a dozen and taken them far away from home and released them. But today I was cleaning out the sparrow nests and checked on a house where I know there were Bluebird eggs a week or so ago and found the eggs or babies gone and the beautiful male Bluebird with his head pecked off. This is the second one I have found like this. I don't know if it makes the sparrows mad when I through out their nests or what. I also have seen 2 or 3 pair of Tree Swallows trying to find nest boxes and I really would like to have then nest. What should I do? Has anyone else had this problem?
