[TN-Bird] Spoonbill near Columbia, TN!

I received the following report this morning from Damien Simbeck and he asked
me to post it to this list.

"Yesterday evening (8/19) I had to attend an adjunct faculty meeting at the
Columbia State CC main campus. I left early enough to spend a little time
birding, and decided to check out Arrow Lake near Mt. Pleasant. This small
lake is located along Tn Hwy. 166 SE of Mt. Pleasant, about 2 miles off Hwy.
43. The best view is from the eastern shore along Arrow Lake Road. I
approached the lake from the south, and pulled off into the first gravel drive
along the shoreline. There were several waders in the upper end of the lake,
so I set up my scope. The first bird in my view was an immature Roseate
Spoonbill! The bird was perched on a fallen tree on the western shoreline.
Other birds present were 10 Dc Cormorants, 8 GB and 2 immature LB Herons and 2
G Egrets.
