Dustin Thames, a TWRA nongame biologist from our Crossville office, got a couple calls today about 2 swallow-tailed kites that were seen today on Hwy 127, about 10 miles south of Pikeville, Bledsoe Co. I don't have more details, but wanted to pass along the info. I don't know if this is close to where birds were hanging out last year, but they are right on time! Positive/negative reports on kites in the area would be most appreciated. Maybe these birds will hang around long enough for me to get a chance to see one!
