Jan Shaw:
Way to go Jan!!!! What a tremendous development for Tennessee bird study
and birders from all around ! WOW! Go girl, go !
And for all the rest of us out here on TN-Birds: pause for a just a moment
to reflect how very rare and very special it is or would be for any birder
to discover a new species not previous known from Tennessee! An outstanding
accomplishment. A special moment in birding for all of us.
A very special and life-long memorable discovery and developments for Jan
Shaw of Nashville -- truly one of Tennessee's outstanding birders.
Thanks to Chris Sloan for the detailed and timely report and photos sent to
the list.
And, finally, just how many of us would have the courage to put an alert
out that "I thought I saw" bird of this rarity. Don't think Jan wasn't
nervous when she did that.
There are a hundreds of subscribers watching every word. That, too, is a
very good and excellent contirubtion to all of us. Thanks for the courage,
Jan. Thanks for nerves of steel. Thanks for finding this rare warbler.
