Frank Fekel and I saw the Vermilion Flycatcher this morning (12/8) at 10 am. He was actively foraging along the fenceline, near the end of the runway at the small airport across the street from the Airpark Inn. He was still there when we left, after taking photos and video for about half an hour. After leaving the Vermilion, we stopped in Black Bayou briefly, and saw the following: Bald Eagle - 5 Wilson's Snipe - 30+ Least Sandpiper - 1 Lapland Longspur - at least 2 heard. We also walked the Smith's Longspur field, and found no Longspurs, but instead several Savannah and a single Vesper Sparrow.
