I had the Virginia’s Warbler at 4:30pm just downstream from the I-26 bridge
behind the Mockingbird Café and again at 5:45pm just left of its seemingly
favorite area. It was on the base of a Sycamore Tree at the mouth of the
tributary where the creek from under the road dumps into the South Holston
River. Tonight shouldn’t be any worse temperature wise than a week ago last
Sunday/Monday so I think it will be fine overnight. If I still needed to see
it, and I could, I’d be just upriver from the pedestrian bridge where the bench
is on the side of the trail at daybreak or just afterwards. I’m guessing it
roosts in that area.
