Mike makes a good point on ID difficulties on dark ibis this time of year.
I'd add with a quick look at eBird records in Oct, there is one Glossy
record and a bunch of White-faced scattered across the state. The general
bar chart tends to suggest White-faced may be more expected in fall, but
really, they are both quite rare. I HATE to use the H word (hybrid), but
hybrids have been increasing in occurrence in recent years. I'm not saying
anything about this bird, as I still need to spend time on the photos (and
dark ibis this time of year, ugh), but this is something to be aware of.
Rick Knight wrote a great article in the Migrant a few years ago
summarizing all dark ibis records in the state, by season and region (I
think it was to that level). The results were basically the opposite of
what I had expected! It's worth digging up this article!

Stopped at Walter S. Davis Blvd Marsh a few minutes ago and found a
GLOSSY IBIS feeding and preening in the large pond area surrounded
by the marsh that can be seen from next to the road across from
where Schraeder Lane intersects the Blvd. Watched the bird for about
25 minutes as it continued to feed.
